Following the completion of its merger with Firmenich International SA on 8 May 2023, DSM-Firmenich AG’s Board of Directors has announced changes to the company’s CEO structure. Effective 1 September 2023, Dimitri de Vreeze will become the CEO of DSM-Firmenich, and Ralf Schmeitz will be appointed as the new CFO, replacing the current Co-CEO structure.
Geraldine Matchett, who has been instrumental in DSM’s success and the merger with Firmenich, will depart the company on 1 September to pursue new career opportunities. Thomas Leysen, Chairman of DSM-Firmenich, expressed his gratitude to Matchett for her exceptional work as Co-CEO and CFO.
Ralf Schmeitz, who possesses a strong background in Finance & Control, Treasury, Taxation, and M&A, will assume the role of CFO and join DSM-Firmenich’s Executive Committee on 1 September 2023. Leysen has full confidence in Dimitri de Vreeze’s ability to lead the company and is excited to welcome Schmeitz to his new position as CFO.
