CPHI & PMEC China, scheduled for June at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, will bring together over 3,000 exhibitors and more than 55,000 attendees from over 110 countries. The event covers 15 sectors, offering a comprehensive platform for the pharmaceutical industry. Jenny Leung, Regional Manager of Informa Markets, emphasized the event’s significance in promoting global partnering and catering to the growing international ingredients demand.
China, the world’s largest market for pharmaceutical ingredients and starting materials, has seen a 25% improvement in its reputation for API manufacturing, as reported by the CPHI Annual Survey[2]. This places China on par with leading European nations like Italy and France, making the country an attractive destination for global pharma industry players.
PMEC, the largest pharmaceutical machinery event globally, will be co-located with CPHI China, featuring over 1,000 exhibitors, 30% of which are new for 2023. Attendees can explore a variety of products and technologies, including laboratory and analytical equipment, tablet compressors, filling machines, and innovative continuous manufacturing technologies.
In addition to the exhibition, CPHI & PMEC China will host over 80 conference sessions, the 12th China-World CEO Summit, the InnoPack Awards China, the China-World Innovation and Development Forum, and International Regulatory Agencies Updates. To facilitate international partnering, the Hosted Buyer Programme will return, offering a targeted matchmaking service that connects international attendees with suitable domestic and regional suppliers, fostering international collaborations in the global pharmaceutical landscape.
