Nutritional supplement company Clear Within has chosen DolCas Biotech’s concentrated turmeric extract, Curcugen, as a key ingredient for its vegan nutricosmetic product. Clear Within, which is designed to improve skin quality, is sold in health shops and online. The product contains 60 veggie capsules, with vitamins and nutrients that have been tested and studied to help achieve clear skin. Curcumin, the main bioactive in turmeric, is known for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, and its ability to address microbial imbalances and oxidative stress.

Curcumin is becoming increasingly popular in nutritional supplements. According to Innova Market Insights, supplements with curcumin ingredients have seen a year-to-year growth of 12.6% over the last five years. In skin health (beauty from within), curcumin had a 14% share, with a CAGR of 39.5%. The entire curcumin market is projected to grow by a CAGR of 12.5% through 2028, with the anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidation properties of curcumin driving market growth.

Clear Within selected Curcugen for its nutricosmetic product for several reasons, including the fact that Curcugen boosted the bioavailability of free curcumin in the formula 39-fold. Curcugen is designed for a variety of formulations, including traditional applications, as well as novel foods and beverages. It is purely plant-based, non-GMO, and free from additives, synthetic and non-turmeric bioenhancers, and soy. Additionally, it has been comprehensively safety-vetted, evaluated in scientific study, peer-reviewed, and published.
