The IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run, in collaboration with Torrent Group, will make history as over 500 visually impaired children participate in a Mumbai marathon on April 2nd, 2023. Aged 12 years and older, these remarkable youths from a variety of special schools and blind organizations will compete in 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km races.

JITO Mumbai Zone’s Chairman, Prithviraj Kothari, expresses immense pride in the visually impaired children’s participation in this noble cause. Their unwavering spirit and dedication to promoting peace, empathy, and non-violence serve as an inspiration to all.

Vice Chairman Mahendra Jain of JITO Mumbai Zone emphasizes the organization’s dedication to promoting diversity and inclusivity through the IIFL JITO Ahimsa Run. The event has drawn a significant response from visually impaired youths from various parts of Maharashtra, inspiring people from diverse backgrounds to join the run for peace.

To support these brave participants, the event organizers will offer training programs tailored to visually impaired children. In addition to receiving cash prizes, trophies, medals, and certificates, these young athletes will benefit from designated areas at the venue for reporting and flag-offs, ensuring their utmost safety and security.
